As the daughter of Elaine Benson, a well known art dealer in Bridgehampton, New York, Kimberly Goff was encouraged to go into a related field. She studied fashion design and started her art career by painting and designing clothing often using vintage fabrics. After dealing with the need to make things color fast and durable, it was a joy to begin painting on paper and canvas. Wearable art was fun and challenging but could not take the place of being a "Fine Artist".
I use many different mediums, such as clay, acrylics, and vintage fabrics. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. I also love the desert and enjoy using found objects in my work.
Having lived in America and Mexico and having traveled extensively my inspiration comes from nature and other cultures.
